Ind. Senator Joe Donnelly Calls For FBI To Investigate Brett Kavanaugh

The Supreme Court nominee has had three woman come forward with allegations of sexual assault and serious misconduct.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indiana Democrat Senator Joe Donnelly says the FBI should investigate allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Approximately two weeks ago, a woman by the name of Christine Blasey Ford came forward accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault more than 30 years ago.

Since then two other women have come forward with similar claims, including one accusation that Kavanaugh took part in spiking the drinks of girls at parties in high school so they could be “gang raped.”

Kavanaugh has vehemently denied all the allegations.

On Wednesday, Sen. Donnelly called for the FBI to investigate the serious allegations against Kavanaugh, reports The Indy Star

So far, Donnelly has resisted calls from his 2018 election opponent, Republican businessman Mike Braun, to announce whether he will support to oppose Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Donnelly may never have to announce his support or disapproval after comments from President Trump on Wednesday. Trump stated that he is not ruling out withdrawing Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.

The President added that he believes Kavanaugh’s denials of sexual assault and serious misconduct, but that he’ll watch the Senate hearing with an open mind.

The hearing is underway in Washington, D.C., where Ford will testify before Kavanaugh.
