A deer hunter was flown to the hospital from Switzerland County on Sunday morning.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) - A Dillsboro man was shot in a hunting accident during the opening weekend of deer firearm season in Indiana.
Indiana Conservation Officers say James Sweetman, 45, was walking to his hunting spot near East Enterprise Sunday morning when he slipped on a slick log.
His firearm, which was slung over his shoulder pointing down, discharged as he fell. Sweetman was struck in his left heel.
Sweetman managed to make contact with his father and son, who contacted 911. He was airlifted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center to be treated for the gunshot.
East Enterprise Fire Department and Switzerland County Emergency Response assisted at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing, conservation officers say.
