Homeowner Requests Donations for Fire Department After Devastating Fire

Multiple agencies responded to a fire in Hidden Valley early Sunday morning.

(Hidden Valley, Ind.) - It was early Sunday morning when multiple agencies responded to a structure fire on Skyview in Hidden Valley.

On scene, crews found heavy fire and smoke conditions and were also dealing with no fire hydrants on this road, meaning tanker trucks were required to bring water to the crews to fight the fire.

Bright Fire was assisted by crews from Lawrenceburg, Miller York, St. Leon and New Trenton Fire, but they were still shorthanded. That prompted Aurora, Whitewater Township, Miami Township, and Harrison to respond.

In total, crews spent over four hours fighting this fire.

Inside the home were five children, six adults, a dog and two cats. All made it out, and four vehicles were moved from the driveway. However, the home sustained significant damage.

"I know everyone wants to help, but honestly, the best help would be donations to the fire departments that responded, especially Bright Fire Department. They struggle with funding from the county so they always appreciate any help they can get," reads a Facebook post from the homeowner.
