(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Home sales are up in 2020 despite higher prices.

The latest data from the Southeastern Indiana Board of Realtors (SEIBR) shows that year to date closed sales have increased by 14.9 percent in Dearborn, Jefferson, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties.

SEIBR reports that 563 homes were sold from the beginning of the year through June of 2020, up from 490 closed sales during the same time last year.

The median sales price for homes in the five southeastern Indiana counties is currently at $164,400, up from $159,000 at this point last year.

In June, SEIBR’s inventory of homes for sale stood at 172, down drastically from the 574 properties that were available in June of 2019.

Despite less homes being available, 114 homes were closed on last month, which was up 10.7 percent from last June.
