(Batesville, Ind.) – Hillenbrand, Inc. has a succession plan in place following the retirement of their president and CEO.

On Wednesday, the Board of Directors appointed Kimberly K. Ryan to succeed Joe Raver as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2022.

She will also join the Hillenbrand Board at the beginning of the new year and will become Executive Vice President, effective immediately.

Ryan will have some big shoes to fill. Raver has led Hillenbrand since 2013, playing a significant role in transforming the company from a $600 million death care business in North America to a $2.5 billion global diversified industrial company it is today.

In her 33 years with Hillenbrand, Ryan has held many senior roles, including President of Coperion, Hillenbrand’s largest business. She helped establish Coperion as a global industry leader, achieving 30 percent revenue growth and approximately $1 billion in 2020.

The CEO transition began Wednesday, according to a news release from Hillenbrand.

Effective immediately, Ryan will have responsibility for the company’s businesses, which includes Mold-Masters, Milacron Injection Molding & Extrusion, Coperion and Batesville.
