Hill-Rom Cutting 200 Employees Worldwide

(Batesville, Ind.) - Hill-Rom is announcing 200 layoffs company-wide, including 24 in Batesville.

 

The hospital bed and equipment manufacturer notified employees on Wednesday.

 

“Hill-Rom is in a strong financial position,” said CEO John Greisch. “However, this restructuring is important to allow us to adapt to the ongoing economic conditions while still allowing us to continue to invest in key growth areas such as research and development.”

 

The company said it will offer the impacted employees support in several forms.

 

Hill-Rom employs 6,000 people around the world, with 2,000 of those in Batesville, its global headquarters. The company has other offices and operations in Cary, NC; Charleston, SC; St. Paul, MN.; Acton, Mass.; Paris, Pluvigner and Montpellier, France.
