Hidden Valley Golf Club Announces Golf Course Improvement Plan

The improvement plan is being broken down into two phases.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Hidden Valley Golf Club is beginning a series of improvements designed to strengthen course conditions, improve reliability, and support long-term turf health.

The announcement comes after the Director of Golf Ryne Burnett addressed regarding the course's conditions at the end of summer. He noted that record heat, minimal rainfall, and key, repeated equipment breakdowns, along with an aging irrigation system, were factors that made course recovery difficult.

A series of upcoming upgrades represent the first phase of a multi-step modernization plan that is being funded entirely through golf course operating and capital budgets.

Phase 1, which is underway now, includes a new chemical sprayer and a new rough mower. Both pieces address immediate operational needs and support consistent course presentation.

Phase 2 is planned for early 2026 and will feature the following upgrades:

  • Greens/tee triplex mower for consistent mowing in appropriate areas.
  • Aerifier to strengthen root systems through more frequent, less disruptive aerification on the greens.
  • Zero-turn mower to replace aging equipment and support tight-area maintenance

These items reduce reactive repair focused labor and contribute to long-term turf health and reliability.

Additional improvements include replacing the older valve-based irrigation points around greens with modern sprinkler heads. Tree work and operational improvements are also planned to improve airflow, sunlight and turf performance.

Burnett says membership and add-on pricing will remain unchanged for 2026.

HVGC will provide further updates as improvements progress through the winter and early 2026.
