Congratulations to all students moving forward in competition.

(Harrison, Oh.) - Multiple Harrison students are heading to the SkillsUSA State competition after placing in local and regional competition.
The SkillsUSA competition gives students enrolled in career-technical high school programs the chance to test their skills and be judged by professionals in their field.
Events are as diverse as the career-technical programs that students participate in.
Automotive students show their knowledge of engines and auto bodies, Precision Machining students demonstrate their skills, and Cosmetology students paint elaborate fingernail designs and style hair.
Teams of Law Enforcement students may gather evidence from parked cars, while other students make presentations that demonstrate their public speaking and professional skills.
Winning Harrison students from Diamond Oaks Career Campus:
- Matthew Fathman, Welding, 1st Place in Welding
- Michael Anderson, Welding, 1st in Job Demonstration
- Trevor Benton, Commercial/Residential Electricity, 2nd in Industrial Motor Controls
- Hayden Kleine and William Schallick, Welding, 2nd in Welding Fabrication
- Grant Skoumbros, Culinary Arts
Students who win at state competition in April will earn the right to compete nationally.
