(Harrison, Oh.) - The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is extending its services to Harrison Township.

Last week, the Harrison Township Trustees unanimously voted to approve a contract that establishes a police substation at the Harrison Township Civic Center on New Haven Road.

The aim is to provide more law enforcement services in Harrison, Crosby and Whitewater Townships.

Earlier this year, the Sheriff's Office notified Harrison Township that it would only respond to emergencies and cease other patrol services due to unpaid fees.

A levy is expected to be on the ballot this November. If it passes, Harrison Township could cover costs for police services for the next decade.
