Halloween Events and Local Trick-or-Treat Times

Several areas remind residents planning to participate to turn on their porch light.

Events 

October 22

Batesville - Lee’s Country RV is hosting the 3rd Annual Boos and Brews Cornhole Tournament. There will be pumpkin painting, games, food, and more beginning at 2 p.m. Registration for the cornhole tournament begins at 4 p.m.

Versailles- Versailles State Park Halloween Spooktacular I. There will be pumpkin decorating contest from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., trick-or-treating from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a campsite decorating contest with judging at 8 p.m.

 

October 25

Aurora- Aurora Lion’s Halloween Parade will begin at 7 p.m. Meet at the former US Bank and proceeds to the Aurora Lion’s building.

 

October 27

Lawrenceburg- Halloween Sensation will be at Lawrenceburg Firehouse from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be hot dogs, hayrides, balloon animals and much more.

 

October 28

Aurora – HalloWINE Walk 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Start at 231 Main Street.

 

October 29

Greendale - The Greendale Police Department is hosting Fall Harvest Night at the station. There will be hot dogs, hot apple cider, photos with officers, s’mores around the fire pit and Officer Henderson’s farm animals from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Harrison- There will be Halloween Pyromusical fireworks display at the Harrison Community Center at 7 p.m. and Halloween on the Avenue will be from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Lawrenceburg- Halloween Costume Contest & Movie Night at Civic Park. There will be a Costume Contest at 4:30 and at 6:30 p.m. The Nightmare Before Christmas Movie Showing. Enjoy candy giveaways, prizes and more! There will be adult and kid judging categories.

Versailles- Versailles State Park Halloween Spooktacular II. There will be a costume contest 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., trick-or-treating from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a campsite decorating contest with judging at 8 p.m.

 

October 30

Dillsboro – The Dillsboro Civic Club is hosting a Halloween Parade at 6:30 p.m.

Harrison- Spooktacular will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The costume contest will be at 5 p.m. Goodie bags will be provided to the first 600 kids and a haunted house will be created by the Harrison High School Students.

 

October 31

Batesville- American Legion Post 271 is sponsoring a Halloween Parade beginning at the Batesville Memorial Pool at 6 p.m.

 

Trick-or-Treat 

Several areas remind residents planning to participate to turn on their porch light. Trick-or-Treat for the following areas will be on October 31 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. (unless otherwise noted):

  • Moores Hill (October 29 5 p.m.-7 p.m.)
  • Versailles (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
