Greendale’s Christmas on the Avenue Returns for a Second Year

(Greendale, Ind.) - Greendale’s Ridge Avenue, recognized for its collection of historic residences, will once again welcome the public to tour a selected number of homes festively decorated for the holiday season. The year’s event will take place on Saturday, December 10 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will expand to include Ludlow Street.

The five featured locations reflect the history of and the prominent residents who helped to shape and grow the Greendale and Lawrenceburg communities. Participants can visit the Nathaniel Squibb House at 607 Ridge (Mark and Brandy Branham owners); Smith-Seitz House, 575 Ridge (Steve and Amy Thornton owners); Jacob Bauer House, 407 Ridge (Huff Realty); Greyhound Manor, 337 Ridge (Jim and Sam Fulton owners) and Hassmer-Craig House, 405 Ludlow (John and Christine Craig owners).

Tickets for Greendale’s Christmas on the Avenue can be purchased online at Eventbrite.com. Admission is $20 Adults, $10 for Children 6-12, and free for children under six. Available tickets will be sold on the day of the event at the check-in point, Greendale First Church of Christ, 421 Ridge Avenue.

All proceeds will go to the Dearborn County Historical Society for improvement projects to the Vance Tousey House and the Angevine Cabin. Adult ticket includes a free one year membership in the Dearborn County Historical Society. All tour participants receive a free pair of 3-D Magical Santa Glasses.

The event is supported by the Dearborn County Historical Society, City of Greendale, the Greendale Garden Club (luminaries), Greendale Main Street, Greendale First Church of Christ (parking and check-in) and First Baptist Church of Greendale (parking).
