Greendale Man Enters Guilty Plea in Fatal Overdose Case

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Greendale man has entered a guilty plea in a fatal overdose case.

Seth Donohue was charged in November of 2020 with Conspiracy to Commit Dealing in a Schedule II Controlled Substance Resulting in Death (Level 1 Felony), Dealing in a Schedule II Controlled Substance Resulting in Death (Level 1 Felony), and Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Level 5 Felony).

On July 13, Donohue withdrew his former plea of not guilty on two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Dealing in a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death.

In exchange for his guilty plea, the state agreed to dismiss the remaining charge.

The charges stem from an incident in September of 2020 at a home on Flagstone Drive in West Harrison.

The state recommended to the Court that Donohue receive a sentence of 40 years with 15 years suspended for each count, and 15 years on probation upon release from jail. According to court documents, Donohue shall receive credit for time served as well as good time served.

Other terms and conditions include truthfully testifying at all proceedings concerning co-defendant Karina Gonzalez.

Gonzalez was also charged in the case in November of 2020. She is set for a final pre-trial conference on October 25, followed by a jury trial scheduled for November 15.

Donohue’s sentencing has been scheduled for August 10.
