Greendale residents may experience temporary discoloration of water.

(Greendale, Ind.) – Greendale residents could experience some discoloration in their water starting this week.
The Greendale Fire Department will begin flushing water lines starting Wednesday, September 26. The routine maintenance program is necessary to maintain the integrity of the water system and ensure hydrants are in proper working order.
Residents in immediate vicinity of the work may experience temporary discoloration of their water. The discoloration consists primarily of harmless silt and air and does not affect the safety of the water.
Anyone who experiences discolorations should clear the pipes in their home by running all water faucets for a few minutes.
Water flushing is expected to last throughout October.
