(INDIANAPOLIS) – Governor Eric Holcomb is directing flags to half-staff to honor and pay respect to the U.S. service members who lost their lives in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Thirteen U.S. military members were killed, and nearly 100 Afghans were killed in a suicide bombing outside Kabul Airport on Thursday.
The explosions took place as thousands gathered in effort to flee the country after the Taliban’s takeover.
To honor and pay respect to the U.S. service members and other victims killed in the terrorist attack, Hoosiers should lower their flags to half-staff until sunset on Monday, August 30.
