GoFundMe Launched to Support Lawrenceburg Man Battling Cancer

Any size donation is appreciated.

Matthew Miller.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A GoFundMe has been launched to support Matthew Miller and his battle with cancer.

The Lawrenceburg native is unable to work and keep insurance that will allow him to get everything he needs. He is currently making 7-hour round trips to see his medical team and sometimes needs to stay where they are.

Miller has dedicated his life to helping others as a brother, friend, father, activist, and minister. He has traveled to 42 states, met with presidential candidates, worked to help change laws, led protests, worked for numerous anti-racist causes, raised millions for the LGBTQ+ community, raised money to help fight AIDS, and countless other causes. He has also let people that needed second chances and had nothing live in his house several times.

Now Miller needs the same help he gave to others.

Money raised from the GoFundMe will provide Miller with the financial assistance he needs during this difficult time.

Once his fight is won (and with all of our love and support it will be won), he will need a job and enough support until he does. He risks losing the ability to purchase his family home that has been his saving grace. So if your company needs an amazing IT, HR, or just leadership person, that’s him. He has worked for several of the biggest companies, but at this point, he needs flexibility so he can work and continue treatment. He has many thousands of people left to help, so let’s help make sure he is in a place to do so," reads a portion of the GoFundMe page.
