(Gallatin County, Ky.) – Gallatin County Schools will be closed the rest of the week.

The school corporation announced Monday that classes have been cancelled due to the number of staff absences related to COVID-19, illness, and other factors.

Students will not participate in virtual classes during the shutdown.

In addition, Gallatin County Schools will not be in session on Monday, January 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

“The district has several options for these days as they relate to the school calendar. We will have to discuss these options in further detail before making a final decision.”
