One Injured After Truck Strikes Tree

Friendship Firefighters responded to the crash on Monday afternoon.

(Friendship, Ind.) - Friendship Volunteer Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Monday afternoon. 

The accident took place around 2:57 p.m. in the 4000 East block of County Road 900 South. 

Upon arrival, firefighters located an eastbound truck that had left the roadway and struck a tree. A single occupant was out of the vehicle and was treated at the scene before being transported to an area hospital for further care. 

The accident remains under investigation. 

Ripley County EMS and Meyers Wrecker and Towing assisted at the scene.
