Franklin Co. Sheriff's Department Announces New Jail Commander

(Brookville, Ind.) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department has a new jail commander.

Sheriff Peter Cates announced today that Amanda Maxie has been promoted to the position.

“First, I would like to say that I am very honored that Sheriff Cates has given me the opportunity. I am looking forward to my new role within the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department,” said Jail Commander Maxie. “We have an amazing group of jail officers and I’m excited to build onto our team here at FCSD.”

Maxie is a five-year veteran of FCSD.

She previously served as jail officer and transport officer.
