Franklin Co. K9 Unit Receives Grant From Whitewater Valley REMC

A special check presentation took place earlier this month.

(Franklin County, Ind.) – Franklin County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit receives $800.00 from the Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust. Funds will go towards the purchase of narcotics detection training equipment to be used for both initial and maintenance training of narcotics detection police service dogs.

Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust Board Members Kevin Smith and Carol McQueen presented the check to Sergeant Adam Henson and K-9 Max on Monday, May 7, 2018. 

The Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust, Inc. trustees meet quarterly on the fourth Monday of January, April, July, and October to review applications for grants. Applications and information regarding the program can be found at www.wwvremc.com under Member Services and Operation Round UP.
