Florence Police to Hold Eight-Week Citizen's Academy

Participants will engage in hands-on learning covering a wide range of police functions.

(Florence, Ky.) - The Florence Police Department is inviting residents to take part in its 2025 Citizen’s Academy, an eight-week immersive program designed to provide firsthand experience in law enforcement operations.

The academy will be held every Wednesday from March 26 through May 14, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 9:00/9:30 PM at the Florence Police Department.

Participants will engage in hands-on learning covering a wide range of police functions, including investigations, patrol operations, traffic enforcement, use of force, and more.

The Citizen’s Academy is open to residents of Florence and surrounding areas who are eager to learn more about the responsibilities and challenges of law enforcement.
