(Wilmington, Oh.) – Excessive rainfall is possible across the tri-state through Wednesday evening.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington has issued a Flash Flood Watch until Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. for the following counties:

  • Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland in Indiana
  • Boone, Carroll, Gallatin, and Kenton in Kentucky
  • Hamilton County, Ohio

According to the NWS, excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Several rounds of heavy rain are expected to move across the tri-state from noon today through Wednesday evening.

Residents in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
