Flags To Half-Staff For Synagogue Shooting Victims

Flags at all government buildings in Indiana should be lowered to half-staff until sunset Wednesday.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has ordered state flags to be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.

Holcomb is also asking residents and business to fly flags at half-staff until sunset on Wednesday.

Eight men and three women inside the Tree of Life Synagogue were killed during worship services Saturday.

The suspect in Saturday's deadly attack on the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh is expected to face a judge for the first time Monday. The suspect himself is recovering from gunshot wounds he received during a shoot out with police after the alleged massacre.

Several others were injured including four police officers, three of which were shot. A fourth officer was hurt from shrapnel and broken glass.

Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto called the shooting the "darkest day of Pittsburgh's history."
