Firefighters Rescue Elderly Resident from Structure Fire

(Guilford, Ind.) - Manchester Township Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a residence on Platt Road on Monday morning.

A structure fire was reported around 10:19 a.m. with an elderly resident trapped inside the home. 

Firefighters arrived quickly and were able to make entry, safely removing the resident from the residence. Crews then worked swiftly to knock down the flames and prevent further spread of the fire.

Assisting on scene were Miller-York Fire, Sunman Fire, Milan Fire, Sunman EMS, and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office.
