Fight Leads To Meth Bust Near Seymour

(Seymour, Ind.) – Three men have been arrested on numerous drug related charges after a fight broke out near Seymour.

Indiana State Police – Versailles District responded to a fight in progress at a church on U.S. 50 near County Avenue, just east of Seymour, on February 16.

A caller had reported two men fighting outside of a vehicle in the parking lot. Both then entered the vehicle and went to a nearby apartment building.

When Troopers arrived to the scene, they found evidence that an injured person went from the vehicle into a nearby apartment. The Troopers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and discovered illegal drug activity at the apartment.

A search warrant was obtained, and nearly 100 grams of methamphetamine was located, in addition to marijuana, over $10,000 in U.S. Currency, two handguns, and other evidence of dealing methamphetamine and marijuana.

Victor M. Vazquez-Hernandez, 37 and Emilio L. Landa-Lagunes, 23, were both arrested and charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. 

A third suspect, Isreal J. Jimenez-Santiago, 32, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Visiting a Common Nuisance, and a warrant for Failure to Appear.

All three men are held in Jackson County Jail.
