Farmers' Almanac Predicts Rainy, Icy & Snowy Winter In The Tri-State

This winter is being tabbed the “Winter of Great Divide” by the Farmers’ Almanac.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – This year has been odd, unusual, and historic.

Other words can describe the year we have all been experiencing, and it begs the question, what else could happen?

As we prepare for cooler weather to make its way through the Midwest, the Farmers’ Almanac has made their annual predictions for the winter months.

This winter is being tabbed the “Winter of Great Divide” by the Farmers’ Almanac.

“Based on our time-tested weather formula, the forecast for the upcoming winter looks a lot different from last year, quite divided with some very intense cold snaps and snowfall,” states editor Peter Geiger.

The general forecast calls for cold and snowy in the north and a drought in the west.

Specific to Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky, the three states find themselves in the cold and very flaky, or winter wildcard region that stretches from Tennessee to the Ohio River valley up to New England.

The Farmers’ Almanac says this weather system will keep the storms active, delivering a wintry mix of rainy, icy and/or snowy weather throughout the season.
