Alleged Meth Dealers Charged In Dearborn Co.

The three individuals facing charges hail from Harrison, Lawrenceburg and Florence.

(Dearborn Co., Ind.) – Three locals are accused of dealing methamphetamine.

A search for a black Dodge Charger started on Wednesday, August 14, when a probation officer forwarded information regarding a methamphetamine case to the Lawrenceburg and Greendale Police.

Police looked for this vehicle around I-275 and along U.S. 50 into Lawrenceburg until they found the Charger the next morning, Thursday, August 15.

The driver was identified as Nathan C. Hauck, 34, of Harrison, Ohio, along with passengers Adam M. Fillers, 35, of Lawrenceburg and Patience L. Young, 21, of Florence, Indiana.

As the car was stopped and searched, as consented by Hauck, officers found multiple items of contraband including pills that fell from Fillers’ person, U.S. Currency totaling $1,820.00 in the driver’s door, and a small plastic bag containing crystal substance, consistent with methamphetamine, inside the open glove box.

Hauck was arrested and transported to Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center for drug possession.

Police say Fillers was transported to Highpoint Health after consuming Suboxone and Oxycodone pills, in an effort to avoid detection. He was discharged days later.

When Young was brought in and interviewed, officers were told that both men allegedly combined their funds of $270 to pick up an ounce of methamphetamine from Fillers’ supplier in Ohio.

Through the course of the traffic stop and investigation, multiple cell phones were found and given to a detective and it was determined that the content on the phones were consistent with the three being associated to each other and that they were supplying to multiple persons who were ready to purchase from them.

Police responded to Highpoint Health, on Friday morning, October 16th, after receiving information about drugs being left in the ambulance that transported Fillers to the hospital. A plastic cigarette cellophane containing crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine, weighing 26 grams, was found in the ambulance after recently transporting two persons, that included Fillers.

While incarcerated, Hauck allegedly identified the drugs in the glove box as his and Fillers. He also indicated that Fillers possessed an ounce, 28 grams, at the time of his (Hauck’s) arrest. This would be consistent with the amount that was found in the cellophane at the scene of the ambulance.

On Wednesday, October 9th, the court found that it had sufficient facts to establish Probable Cause for the arrest of Hauck, Fillers, and Young.

Fillers is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 felony), Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Oxycodone) (Level 5 felony), Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 felony), and Obstruction of Justice (Level 6 felony).  He is currently being held in the Dearborn County Jail serving a sentence for Battery and Resisting Law Enforcement.

Hauck is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 felony), Obstruction of Justice (Level 6 felony), and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 felony).

Young is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 felony).
