Dillsboro Announces Facade, Awning, Signage Grant Program

Six facade improvement grants will be awarded this cycle.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) – Six grants will be awarded to assist with façade, awning, and signage improvements in downtown Dillsboro.

Dillsboro Main Street will award $8,000 in matching grants as part of their Façade Awning Signage Grant Program.

The program will award four grants for a project match up to $1,500 and two grants for a project match up to $1,000.

The incentive grants are funded through Dillsboro Main Street and administered by the Entrepreneurs and Small Business Assistance Committee.

Applications must be submitted by property owners, or commercial tenants may apply with the written consent of the property owner. Only one application may be submitted per grant cycle.

Projects must be completed within six months of being granted or written extension may be requested. Project requests must first be approved by Planning & Zoning and Downtown Dillsboro Design Commission.

Last year, $16,000 was invested into improving the visual appearance of downtown Dillsboro.

The application deadline for this year’s grant program is July 20.
