(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Dearborn Highlands Arts Council Gallery, 331 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg,  will host a special "Meet the Artist - Kate Priebe" event on Friday, October 19 from 6 to 8 pm. All are invited to meet with Ms. Priebe and to garner insights about her exciting works on exhibit. Kate's exhibit runs through October 31. Admission is free and her paintings are available for acquisition.

Kate Priebe attends East Central High School and is involved in leading the Art Club. She has always loved art, developing her talent primarily by painting and drawing in her free time. Her primary medium is acrylic, but also works in watercolor -  incorporating flowers and organic objects into her surreal portraits. Kate began a pet portrait business in 2016. In the summer of 2017, Kate apprenticed for Artworks, where she created and illuminated costumes for the BLINK Future City Spectacular Light Parade which she, along with other members of  the Artworks team, wore in the parade. In the summer of 2018, she attended the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) for a week of camp in the studio art division. She recently entered her work in the SIAG regional art competition, and won her age division with her painting Boy Crying Flowers #1.
