Dearborn Co. Recycling Center Gearing Up for Holiday Giveaway

(Aurora, Ind.) – The Dearborn County Recycling Center will host their Holiday and More Giveaway this Saturday.

The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Recycling Center, 10700 Prospect Lane in Aurora.

This is a free event with no money collected or exchanges needed. However, there will be a limit on what an individual may take.

Items available include Christmas trees, crafts, decorations, lights and more.

Guidelines:

  • Please shop with the bag supplied. Limit one bag per adult during the event
  • No extra bags for persons not in attendance
  • Please only take your fair share and respect all limits. All items must fit in the bag, and the bag must be able to still be carried by the handle.
  • When finished, check out items at the front table.

Limits:

  • Limit 1 box of new Christmas ornaments, tree topper, tree skirt, projector, confetti fireworks
  • Limit 1 tree or large item that doesn’t fit in the bag (limit 1 per family or group)
  • Limit 2 garland, necklaces, headbands, hair ties
  • Limit 3 Christmas lights
  • Limit 4 stockings
  • Limit 6 Christmas bags
  • Limit 10 floral stems

For trees:

  • Tear off the bottom portion of the green sheet located on the tree you want to get. Hold on to it until you are ready to check out.
  • Give the green sheet to the Dearborn County Recycling Center employee back by the trees when you are ready to check out.
  • You will be instructed to pull your vehicle up to the garage door and will be responsible for taking the tree down, if necessary, and loading it in your car. Employees and volunteers of the Dearborn County Recycling Center will not be loading trees.

Items available in the giveaway have been donated by the public. All items are free and carry no guarantee.
