Dearborn Co. Receives Federal Funding for Bridge Project

INDOT awarded over $155 million 51 cities, towns, and counties.

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced today that $155.6 million in federal transportation funding is being awarded to 51 cities, towns, and counties in rural portions of the state.

Locally, Dearborn County received $1,532,000 for a bridge project on Bells Branch Road.

This project is one of 32 statewide that will rehab or replace bridges currently rated in poor condition.

Communities must contribute at least 20 percent in local matching funds and meet other federal requirements to receive federal funding.
