(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Dearborn County Councilwoman Liz Morris has been elected southeast district president of the Association of Indiana Counties.
Morris, a Republican, was elected to the leadership position on the AIC last week.
As president, she will represent southeastern Indiana’s interests in determining the AIC’s policies and legislative goals.
“I am honored and pleased to be able to represent Southeast District elected officials on the AIC board,” Morris said. “It is important that our voices are heard by the governor and legislature on issues affecting local government. The AIC staff does a great job of making sure that happens, and being on the board is a great opportunity to be involved.”
Switzerland County Clerk of Courts Gayle Sullivan was elected the southeast district vice president.
The AIC’s southeast district includes the following counties: Bartholomew, Brown, Clark, Dearborn, Decatur, Floyd, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Scott, Switzerland, and Washington.
