Damar Hamlin Announces Scholarship Named for Harrison Fire Chief

During a trip to Cincy this month, Hamlin dined with the 10 medical professionals that saved his life.

CINCINNATI - On November 5, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin returned to the very spot he nearly lost his life.

Hamlin did not play in the Bills Sunday Night Football tilt against the Cincinnati Bengals, but photos surfaced on social media of the 25-year-old returning to the very spot on the Paycor Stadium Field where he suffered cardiac arrest this past January.

While Hamlin was in town, he had dinner with the medical professionals who saved his life and surprised each of them with a scholarship for Cincinnati youth in their honor.

Among the medical professionals credited with saving Hamlin is Harrison Fire Chief Rob Hursong.

The scholarships, which will be awarded for the next three years, will be funded through Hamlin’s charity, The Chasing M’s Foundation.
