(Ripley County, Ind.) - An asphalt resurfacing project on S.R. 129 south of Batesville will begin on or after June 28.

The $2.4 million contract will begin with crews patching between S.R. 48 and S.R. 46.

Milling and paving are anticipated to begin around mid-July, with the project completion expected by the end of August.

Traffic will be managed by lane closures with flagging.

Drivers should drive slow, cautious and distraction-free in and near the construction sites.

The project is weather dependent and schedule is subject to change.
