(Sandusky, Oh.) – Civista Bank announces it will be making a $5,000 donation to the Dayton Foundation for the benefit of the Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund and the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund. This commitment to the Dayton community will support families directly affected by the tragic mass shooting that occurred in the Dayton Oregon District, as well as those still recovering from the devastating tornadoes that destroyed many homes and properties this past May.

“It is in times like these that we come together in community strength and gratitude for our communities’ first responders, volunteers and many organizations that are there to support individual hardship and community tragedy,” said Civista Bank CEO and President, Dennis Shaffer.

“Civista is dedicated to making a difference in the communities we serve through financial and volunteer support,” added Shaffer.

The Dayton Foundation is working with vetted non-profit organizations and local officials to distribute 100% of all donations received to those in need. To learn more about these funds and the Dayton Foundation, visit www.daytonfoundation.org.
