When you respond to the census, you'll tell the Bureau where you live as of April 1, marking today as National Census Day.
What better way to participate in National Census Day than responding to the 2020 Census?
Starting in mid-March, households across the country started receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. By this time, every home should have received an invitation to participate in the Census.
You can respond by one of three ways: online, by phone, or by mail.
One person will fill out the Census for the entire household. This includes all family members, roommates, or anyone who regularly lives and sleeps at the house.
Participating in the Census is extremely important as the results from the 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding every year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade.
