Through a new partnership between the Erlanger Police Department, Fire Department, and Fort Mitchell Fire Department and Buckle Up for Life, families in need will be provided car seats and booster seats.

(Erlanger, Ky.) - Local emergency agencies are teaming up with a national educational organization to provide safer roadway habits in Northern Kentucky.

The Erlanger Police Department, Fire Department and Fort Mitchell Fire Department have come together to team up with Buckle Up for Life to provide car seats and booster seats to families in need throughout their communities.

Created by the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Toyota, Buckle Up for Life is a national child passenger safety education program that encourages families across the country to "buckle up and go safely."

Between the two cities, the local emergency agencies received a grant that will provide 52 car seats and 24 booster seats to families in need.

Additionally, car seat installation groups and CPR lessons will be available to community members in the near future. More information will be released as it is given.

If you are in need of a car seat or booster seat, contact the Erlanger Police Department, Fire Department or Fort Mitchell Fire Department.
