(Brookville, Ind.) – A Brookville man is facing charges after he allegedly forced entry into a home and stole around $8,000 of property.

Nickalus Pennington, 45, was arrested last Sunday and charged with a felony related to burglary and a misdemeanor related to resisting arrest.

The arrest stems from an investigation that began in January 2024 after a burglary was reported in the 6000 block of Pipe Creek Road.

Investigators say most of the property that was taken from the home was found to be military related equipment.

Physical evidence at the scene led to developing Pennington as a suspect. An arrest warrant was obtained for his arrest earlier this month.

He is lodged at the Franklin County Jail.
