Bring A Costume, Take A Costume At Dearborn Co. Recycling Center

The Costume Swap has returned for the 2018 Halloween season.

(Aurora, Ind.) - If you are looking to Halloween costume shop on a budget – or perhaps no money at all - you might consider visiting the Dearborn County Recycling Center.

The recycling center, 10700 Propsect Lane, west of Aurora, is holding its annual Costume Swap starting Tuesday, October 9.

You can bring an old costume and leave with a new one absolutely free. The center says nearly 1,000 costumes for adults and children are available, including masks, wigs, makeup accessories and décor.

About 350 people used the program last year, helping to save money and reduce waste.

If you do bring a costume to swap, the recycling center asks that you make sure it is clean and in good condition. If you don’t have a costume to exchange, you can still participate by making a donation to the reuse program.

The DCRC Costume Swap will continue this week through Friday, October 12 from noon until 6:00 p.m. each day. It will also be held each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from October 15 through 26 from noon until 6:00 p.m.
