Boone County Declares Level Two Snow Emergency

Boone County could see 2 to 4 inches of sleet and snow accumulation.

(Boone County, Ky.) - Boone County has declared a Level Two Snow Emergency effective immediately. 

A "Level Two” Snow Emergency is defined as: road conditions are extremely hazardous due to accumulations of snow and/or ice and essential travel only is advised.

This snow emergency does not prohibit travel to and from work. Citizens are urged to contact their employer to determine whether they should report to work.

During snow emergencies, where snowfall is 2” or greater, it will be required that motor vehicles not be parked or abandoned on streets or roadways so as to impede the removal of snow or ice. Vehicles parked in cul-de-sacs are likely to be towed immediately.
