Big Mac Bribe Doesn't Work For Accused Card Game Cheater

Maybe he should have offered to super size the bribe?

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A man’s fast food bribe attempt did not prevent him from being arrested by Indiana Gaming Commission agents.

Justin Athey, 34, was allegedly caught cheating at a table game at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg on July 24. A dealer caught him attempting to “past post” bets.

When he was caught by agents, Athey allegedly claimed he didn’t mean to place extra chips in the betting area and he wouldn’t try to cheat the casino.

He also attempted to bribe the agents not to charge him.

“I’ll get you as many free Big Macs that you want,” he said, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in court.

Athey was charged with Cheating at a Gambling Game (level 6 felony) on August 7. He was booked into jail in Dearborn County on September 5.
