Batesville Man Arrested On Multiple Drug Related Charges

(Batesville, Ind.) - A Batesville man was arrested late last week on multiple drug related charges. 

Last Friday, July 17, around 11:43 a.m., a Batesville Police Department (BPD) officer was dispatched to the Brum Woods parking area, near the intersection of State Road 229 and Huntersville Road, regarding a male subject "swaying outside of his vehicle" and repeatedly backing in and out of the same parking spot.

Once on the scene, the BPD officer identified the subject as Robert W. Pfautz, 34, of Batesville. 

During a conversation between the officer and Pfautz, physical signs of methamphetamine use was observed. A search of Pfautz's car found THC vape device, two hypodermic syringes, and a crystal-like substance, believed to be methamphetamine.

Pfautz was arrested for Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony), and Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor). He is being held at the Ripley County Jail.
