Batesville HS Students Urge Recycling with Mural Project

Project Recycle aims to raise awareness for and combat the number of plastics in the world's oceans.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Reduce, reuse, recycle.

That is the message the Batesville High School Junior Kiwanis Student Leadership Academy (KSLA) is sending to the community.

Students are collecting bottle caps and other types of plastic at the high school to raise awareness for and combat the number of plastics in the world’s oceans.

As part of Project Recycle, the bottle caps collected will be used to make murals around Batesville High School.

A variety of colors are needed to complete the project, so community members are encouraged to start collecting bottle caps. For updates on turn-in sites at the high school, visit Batesville Community School Corporation | Facebook.

Classes will be competing through April 1 to see who can collect the most bottle caps. The winning class will earn a pizza party.
