Batesville HS Senior Awarded Flying Pig Community Scholarship

The recipients got a big surprise on Wednesday morning.

The 10 recipients of the Flying Pig Community Scholarship gathered at Music Hall in Cincinnati on Wednesday morning.

Each student was expecting to receive a $5,000 scholarship, but Bob Coughlin, Chairman at Paycor, had other plans.

Coughlin surprised everyone in the audience by announcing that these scholarships would not be a one-time gift, but a four-year scholarship totaling $20,000 each.  

Among the scholarship recipients was Batesville High School senior Madison Rahschulte.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Ten high school students from the tri-state area have been named recipients of the 2023 Flying Pig Community Scholarship.

Among the recipients is Batesville High School senior Madison Rahschulte.

The scholarships go to high school seniors in the Cincinnati tri-state area that have demonstrated a commitment to community service and running.

Rahschulte and the nine other recipients will each be awarded $5,000 towards post-secondary education.

The students were honored at the annual Community Scholars Breakfast on Wednesday morning.
