Aurora Volunteer Firefighter Recognized for Three Decades of Service

(Aurora, Ind.) – Bryon “Gibby” Gibbs was honored last Saturday for his 30 years of volunteer service to the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department.

Gibbs received a plaque with an axe that reads,” in appreciation for your 30 years of dedicated service and leadership to the Aurora Fire Department and the citizens and communities we serve.”

Fire Chief Jeff Lane, Assistant Fire Chief Mark Lane, City of Aurora Mayor Patrick Schwing, and Council member Jonne Messer were on hand for the presentation ceremony.

Aside from serving for the fire department, Gibbs has been an employee at Aurora Utilities for 28 years.
