Aurora Police Department Accepts Donations For K9 Program

Donations will assist in continuing the program as well as ensure the safety of the citizens of the community and surrounding communities. 

(Aurora, Ind.) - The Aurora Police Department has a new team of two. 

Officer Jason Turner recently took over the duty of K9 Handler and in the process of training and working daily with a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois, Ozzy. 

With the City of Aurora and surrounding areas seeing an enormous increase of heroin and methamphetamine cases, a successful K9 Program is extremely important. This program is one of the most valuable tools in fighting against drug-related crimes. 

The Aurora P.D. is accepting donations for the K9 Program. These donations will assist in continuing the program as well as ensure the safety of the citizens of the community and surrounding communities.
