(Aurora, Ind.) - Police are holding off on releasing details about the murder of a 67-year-old Aurora woman.
Leigh Jennings was found dead by a neighbor in her apartment on the 100 block of Aspen Ridge Road Thursday night about 10:00.
Investigators with the Indiana State Police, Aurora Police, and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department continued to work through the weekend and Monday on the murder case.
“This incident continues to be an active investigation as investigators continue to follow all leads,” said state police Sgt. Noel Houze.
State police said Monday the Hamilton County Coroner’s preliminary cause of death is homicide, but add the complete autopsy results may not be available for several weeks. Investigators would not say what the actual cause of Jennings’ death was.
Jennings worked at Jim Young’s Barber Shop in Florence.
Anybody with information is still being urged to contact the Indiana State Police at (812) 689-5000 or Aurora Police at (812) 926-1101. Callers can remain anonymous.
