Aurora Man , Madison Woman Arrested On Drug Charges

The arrest was made on April 21 following a traffic stop in Jefferson County.

(Aurora, Ind.) – An Aurora man and a Madison woman have been arrested on drug-related charges.

Scott M. Doty, 39, of Aurora, and Roma “Sissy” Wynn, 40, of Madison, were arrested during a traffic stop in Jefferson County on April 21.

According to a release by the Madison Police Department, the two were pulled over for a traffic infraction on the 200 block of Jefferson Street.

During the traffic stop, a police K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted police of the presence of drugs.

Police say they located methamphetamine on the driver’s seat occupied by Doty. A loaded handgun was also allegedly found in Doty’s possession.

Other alleged findings include a burnt marijuana joint where Wynn had been sitting in the passenger seat, approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine and several different controlled substances.  

Both were taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

Doty is charged with Carrying a Handgun Without a License (level 5 felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (level 6 felony) and Forgery (level 6 felony).

Wynn is charged with four counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine, two counts of Dealing in a Schedule III or IV Controlled Substance, Providing a Firearm to a Criminal, two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine, Invasion of Privacy, and Possession of Marijuana.

Wynn is currently held in jail on $250,000 bond. No bond information was provided for Doty.
