Another Underage Drinking Party Crashed In Franklin Co.

The homeowner is facing a felony charge after more than a dozen minors were found drinking alcohol.

(Franklin County, Ind.) - A 50-year-old man is accused of hosting an underage drinking party in Franklin County.

The party was busted up by police in the early morning hours last Thursday after police made a traffic stop.

Deputies came to the home of Bradley Wagner, 50, in the 13000 block of Metzger Lane in Brookville. They allegedly found about 15 people under age 21 who had been drinking alcohol.

Wagner was arrested on charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony) and Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor (class C misdemeanor). He is out of jail after posting a $5,000 cash and surety bond.

Since November, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 35 individuals related to underage drinking. A party allegedly with teens as young as 14 drinking was discovered by police on November 10.

Now, the department is urging all Franklin County parents to utilize good judgment and common sense when it comes to underage drinking.

“The Franklin County Sheriff Department will continue to partner with Stayin’ Alive, LCC and assist them with promoting their mission statement of ‘a safer and healthier community by reducing the problematic use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Franklin County,’” the department said in a news release.

The sheriff’s department has been part of the Parents Who Host Lose the Most program for several years. The program “educates parents about the health and safety risks of providing alcohol to teenagers and increases awareness of and compliance with underage drinking laws.”
