American Legion Post 239 Collecting Donations To Send To Kentuckians

Several local agencies and organizations are doing their part to get much needed items to Kentuckians impacted by last Friday's devastating tornado.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Lawrenceburg American Legion is the latest organization requesting donations to help those impacted by a devastating tornado in Western Kentucky.

Donations will be accepted at the Lawrenceburg American Legion Post 239 on Thursday, December 16 and Friday, December 17 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Suggested supplies to be donated include generators, space heaters, flashlights, batteries, gloves, warm clothes, blankets, toiletries, hygiene products, baby items, non-perishable food, water, and toys for children.

Community members may contact Tom Savage (812-537-3563) or PG Gentrup (513-602-5595) for pickup if you are unable to bring items to the Legion.

Supplies will be delivered to Penntown for distributions to Kentucky.
