Accident Closed I-74 Westbound Sunday Evening

Multiple first responder agencies assisted in the call.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - Ripley County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident on Sunday evening near mile marker 157 that had I-74 westbound lanes shut down for about an hour.

According to the press release, Charles Simpson, 39 of Avon was on westbound I-74 and hit the back of a mini-bus transporting approximately 16 people. 

Simpson and two of his passengers and one passenger from the bus were taken to MMCH with non-life-threatening injuries.

Sunman Fire and EMS, Batesville EMS, Bright EMS, Ripley County EMS and Batesville Police Department assisted in the call.
